I have seen SERPs jumping all over lately. Is this a sign of an MSN update?

ever few weeks on my sites, the SERPs in MSN seem to drop just to come back in a day or so. Just hope and pray I guess ;)

I have seen that happen recently. Drop and come back in a few days. I guess I keep doing what I am doing and wait to see where they will stick. Has anyone seen any news on an MSN algo update?

I can't see any of my listings on MSN right now. Only 1 site was really affected though. That's kinda interesting. Spam still rules MSN, so not sure what MSN is doing.

This sucks. I used to ranked 1st before my site dissapeared and it came back at ninth. Also, another few of my important keywords are no where to be found. I hope the dust will settle soon...

There is a lot of spam in the MSN SERPs. I still think that Yahoo has the biggest problem with spam.

I checked MSN today and I'm back on the 3-4 terms that I checked *shrug*

Somehow MSN, decided I'm #6 for "christmas decorations" and brought me loads of traffic during the holidays. That's back now too. I still don't get rankings across the board. MSN seems to value inbound links far more than internal links - which kinda sucks as it doesn't reward good site design.

What's funnier though, is that during Christmas, that term (which i'd consider HUGE at christmas) still brought less visitors than my #2 ranking on google for "shabby chic"

One of my sites still can't rank on yahoo. But overture will call me every week begging me to add more keywords to my list - and even offer to make a list for me.

My MSN Serps have seemed to improve, fairly dramatically, as of yesterday, for keywords I only very recently (literally, a matter of days) optimized for. Don't know what's up, other than links gotten over the last few days with the KW in them, and tweaking pages based on server logs...

    But I'm not complaining.

I dont think it's an update as such, it looks to me to be similar to G whereby it rotates between two different sets of SERPs.

My pages disappeared for around 10 days and came back during the last 2 days.
