Msn has always indexed my sites faster than any other search engine also MSN seems to like my sites more giving top ranks for my targeted keywords.

I'm starting to like msn over yahoo and google.

MSN is also more easily manipulated and doesn't get the traffic of Google or Yahoo. It's great if you can win ranking with MSN, but you won't get nearly the traffic that winning Google or Yahoo would bring in.

yes, same for me as well, they seem to have a simpler algorithm and more customization at the user end as the user can modify the algorithms from the bars at the top, right next to the search box.

MSN just sends its crawlers in an instant after you submit, surely within 5-6 hrs.

My main line of work is Seamless gutters here in St louis, Mo I just built the site Just Gutters 5 days ago and no matter how you bend, twist or phrase it I'm #1 for all my targeted keyword. I'm hoping the seamless gutter site does as well on Google and Yahoo. I believe it will still not indexed on the G and Y se

If you are going to do that kind of stat, you need to go further. Are there 300 million stock market results worth reading. Or are the 50 million the most revelent and recently updated results more worthy of reading?

I dunno, but the picture is bigger then just numbers.

MSN has given me a lot of love pretty much since I started my latest site almost exactly a month ago. I'd say almost 50% of my search engine traffic comes from MSN, and for some of the keywords on my site, I'm in the top 100, if not top 10.

I haven't really done anything to target MSN, in fact I never submitted to MSN, only Google.

Msn is very quick to index you, I have a new site 1 month old. With a few backlinks and onsite SEO work i got # 1 through 10 of alot of main keywords of the sites pages.

This still does not send massive traffic. But it is good traffic as it is just as targeted as google.

MSN knows that it has to win the search market. By giving fresh results they are assuring they will be searched again. That's my take.

My sites get indexed better with them as well. The only downfall is the traffic issue. Traffic referrals are not near what they are with Google and that is why making it in Google is the ultimate goal.

This may be due to MSN's value to the on page optimization than linking Strategy.

Would still rather have Google index me than MSN, simply for traffic volume.

Yes but for your first couple sites to even see your site in top 10 even on MSN it gives you an extra boost to keep going :)

It definitely is. I use DP's Keyword Tracker to see where I stand, and in the beginning it hurt that I couldn't even get top 200 results in Google (still can't). Yahoo is only a tiny bit easier, I've got 2 or 3 phrases I'm ranked for. MSN is definitely helping me out a lot.

Plus I can use the fact I know what people are looking for on MSN to help me work on those keywords more, in hopes of breaking into Yahoo and Google.

Msn may update its index more often but it wont fully index a large site

But for the small amount of traffic they do send at least it is something.

Indexing faster is a good strategy if you are trying to compete for the attention of searchers. If they can offer fresher results it may be helpful, especially when you are looking for time sensitive information which may not have turned up as a news article in mainstream media. MSN isn't even number two, so it really needs to work harder and faster. Now, if they would just clean up the look of their pages and make them all load faster with less clutter.
