    theyve blocked 'phpbb' searches due to phpBB trojans which use search engines to find other vulnerable phpbb installations to try and propogate..

    lesson to be learnt: avoid using phpbb.

    I don't understand this. If I search for phpbb forum and in search results the pages are shown, how will the malware come to my pc?
    From the search results if I click on some link then some malware might come, but it should not affect msn. In google search results they sometimes show some links with malware warning. Probably msn is planning to implement that.

    it's not malware as in PC/windows malware
    it's very crafty scripting (ie PHP) which takes advantage of phpBB vulnerabilities - so it's running from servers with phpBB, not your local pc.
