msn is not as popular as google. you will always get more traffic from google unless you are 500 on google and #1 on msn. its just the way it is. i dont think you are the only who has the same problem

People are using google yahoo and aol more than msn. So few people using msn for search. So if you rank high in msn then also very few traffic.

Don't sweat no traffic from msn.. just worry about major SE's, and you'll see more overall traffic :)

I see msnbot daily in my server logs, it visits as much as Googlebot, yet it hardly sends any traffic.

First I thought it may be my site is not good enough for msn, but seeing how much traffic is coming from google, it may be their indexing technology and popularity as others have mentioned.

Unless people search on MSN for that keyword , you won't get much traffic.

Google dominates the search engine pie, followed by Yahoo.

Traffic from msn/live takes time. On average it will take at least 6 months from the date your site is discovered by live before you start receiving any traffic from them. I'm starting to see that MSN is a close 3rd and in some month it took over yahoo in the second spot.

One thing for sure, its free traffic. You got nothing to lose to optimize your site for both yahoo and live.

I never receive any traffic from MSN to any of my sites. To be honest, the users who actually prefer live search over Google are not the type of visitors you want coming to your website anyway. Well that's just what I think.

    At schools, universities, libraries

You will be FORCED to use msn many times. Many places have Live Search as toolbars and google is behind some stupid "Website Blocked" messages.....

So don't necessarily pin down msn. It still depends on your niche to see who uses what.

How much traffic are you honestly getting though if you don't mind me asking? Google and Yahoo combined own about 80% of all web traffic so it wouldn't be surprising if you're looking at a small sample size to not actually have anything from them.
