MSN Sandbox...didn't believe it, now I do.

Withheld posting this for 2 months to see if there would be any changes before posting this.

Went from #1-3 to 90+ for rankings on some of my keywords. I had read about a sandbox but didn't believe it until it happened. Odd thing is some pages are still #1 and #2 for my terms, while others are 90+. Guess I'll just roll with it since some pages are still ranking well even after all this time for certain terms.

Anyone have any insight or similar experience?

I'd have to see it happen to me to believe it myself. Nothing but good things come from MSN for me :)

I have never had to wait more than a couple weeks to get ranked in MSN. I create a new page and within 2 weeks... WA-BooYA! I am on page one.

Yeah, I agree with Web Gazelle. And, as they say, WA-Boo-YA! happens.

I know. I was top #1-#7 for over 60 key phrases and life was great, this went on for like three months. Then all of a sudden 75% dropped to 100+ Now I'd say I've got maybe 10 phrases that are still top 10, while others are either 90 or greater. The difference is too excessive for me to believe that it has to do with anything other than some filter that was put in place. The site is new, so this sudden change causes me to believe that something must have been done recently as mentioned in that other thread.

I have five other sites that have been around for years that I continue to enjoy success. It's only with this new one that the problem has occurred.

Not sure if it is a sandbox. I have a new site that is currently ranking very well. Launched - it rose, now its top.

Mine is also only a few months old, and as I mentioned I ranked well almost immediately and stayed that way for a few months until what I posted above happened. So as I said something must have been put in place, because my older sites are still ranking just fine. It's only been this new one that has been affected.

I am working with one site that is struggling but my aquarium site has no trouble ranking. You guys can take a look at it to see if it gives you some clues to what you might do to rank. It is the first link in my signature. Feel free to click the links on the right while your there. ;) The one that struggles is the second link in my signature.

Today marks about two months since this "filter" seemed to be put in place, and I just regained all my rankings for MSN. Very odd. It's almost two months to the day, so it definitely makes me wonder why it happened. Needless to say I'm not complaining.

EDIT: 75% of my keywords have returned to normal. Hopefully the others change in the coming days.
