I wanted to ask why do i have some top MSN keywords, when google doesnt even list me for the same keyword. Also....why do I get more traffic from MSN and yahoo other then google..... whats the google trick i havent figured?
Google usually brings alot more traffic for the same words, so there tends to be alot more competition and seeing changes in your ranking in Google is usually slower + harder. Just keep working at it.
If your getting more traffic from MSN then google something is definitely wrong. Have you gone to google and typed 'site:yoursitename.com' to see how many links you have indexed? Compare that to MSN and Yahoo. I have 23000+ on google, 6500+ on MSN, and TWO on yahoo. Yahoo doesnt like me I guess ________________ Glenn Ford http://www.mostpopularsites.net http://www.mps-golf.com
MSN results Web Results1-10 of 9,515 containing link:www.whatafeeling. net (0.10 seconds) Google results Results 1 - 6 of about 12 linking to 58ToSIBUtF0J:www.whatafeeling. net/(0.14 seconds) Yahoo results Results 1 - 20 of about 216 for link:http://www.whatafeeling. net
That would explain why you get more from MSN. How long has your site been up? My advice is to get listed in as many directories as possible. Also work on your link exchange with sites similar to yours. My site has that and you can also use the forum I found at linkstoyou.com http://forum.linkstoyou.com/ I hope this helps Glenn
The "site:" command measures pages in the search engine's index. The "link:" command measures how many sites link to that site. Google deliberately broke the link command, so it's not going to show you accurate results. Yahoo seems to have the most detailed stats on links and MSN is somewhere in between.
I talked to google about the breaking of the link: command and found out you can use: "+yoursitename.com" this will show all your listings including backlinks. Hope you find this useful. ___________ Glenn Ford http://www.mostpopularsites.net http://www.mps-golf.com
Actually a really good way to get in is to pay 40$ to joeant.com to get in their directory. If you don't want to do that, do as I mentioned before. Here is a good URL for getting a list of SEO Friendly Directories. http://info.vilesilencer.com/ I have personally added my web sites from this list this guy creates. Hope this helps..
Nice link Glenn, first I've seen of it, but appears to be a trustworthy source of some good link exchanges.
Thanks, and I am trying to get my link exchange forum momentum going, so be sure to post there. OK? http://www.mostpopularsites.net/option,com_simpleboard/Itemid,116/
