I have many sites and I have noticed that in many instances when the site's Google rankings go up, MSN ranking gos down - and vice versa - why can this be???????
It is only because Google and MSN have different algorithms in ranking websites. That's why you need to decide which will be your target SE, will it be Google or MSN. If someone can give an advice here on how can you build the same result on Google/MSN, we are open here for your ideas.
Msn algorithm pays more attention to your domain URL. If you are going to use a good domain name with a good SEO you may hit the target.
MSN does bring in some interesting results though, quite an odd group that it brings in time to time.
Can anyone make any guesses on what MSN puts the most weight on, at this present date? (as far as there ranking system) They do seem to be awfully different from google..
i think its important to start thinking about the future of msn, i think they will in time grow fast. the reason i think this is that new users who purchase a pc and have little knowledge of the internet will end up searching using microsoft pre installed widget on their desktop, right now i dont think vista has this feature yet but i think microsoft will in the futre make it so that this search widget will site on new vista desktops. That i think is the wise thing todo. But what do you guys think can they do that? Also msn will eventually buy up yahoo and thats when they will really put a lot of investment in improving there search engine.
I personally don't see any reason to prefer MSN instead of Yahoo or Google. There is perhaps more spam in Google, but anyway it delivers good results. As the previous poster I think people use MSN just because it is default in their iexplorer.
I'm also seeing a lot of changes in rank with my sites, and the funny part is that when Google changes the rank for my sites, then other SE change the rank too and in the same time, but not always.
Why? I used it on a throw away site of mine to test it. Didnt get anywhere with it, but then again maybe i didnt use it right...
