Does MSN penalize for overoptimization? I've noticed they're pretty loose in that department and also have noticed sites that are associated with multiple link farms that rank very high for competitive terms. I guess they don't care about quality of links on MSN?
those are probably my sites msn seems to count all and any links ecxtremly fast, and it doesn't seem to mind if you get them very rapidly
MSN counts them all, and they seem to love keyword density. My company name is a primary keyword so it gets used quite often in my pages. I rank 1st and second on msn and about 22 on yahoo because of too much density. # 101 on google, finally out of the sandbox but still have work to do.
Inflating our keyword density could verywell hurt you in the other engines and Yahoo seems to be picky on keyword stuffing of page content.
I don't know if this has anything to do with anything, but I've noticed that each time I do any kind of "optimization" to one of my pages, it gets dropped from MSN SERPs altogether for a day or two before returning.
MSN is really wierd for my sites. On some keywords, they cycle back and forth between not being listed and being listed in the top 20 or so -- on an almost daily basis. What's up with that?
Don't cutoff MSN. I have a cell phone site that is in position #1 on MSN. The site receives more than 50 unique visitors per day from MSN.
