Yup, and although the email contained hyperlinks with tracking codes, it didn't provide any additional access to LM 8 (i.e. MSN Messenger 8) or anything new. I agree though - the SE War is entering a new phase.

I gotta say that I like it if only because I rank #1 for two very important keyword phrases =)

live.com was already up for some time (few months even). Use it a lot since a few weeks, really cool service. New design en features introduced this week are really making it a very, very good service. Multiple pages is a GREAT improvement, got a page now with the RSS feeds of tens of sites, defided in different categories. Really nice.

But unfortunately Live.com is extemely slow in loading and searching. Even using a high end internet connection (20mb per second) it still loads slow.

People want searches yesterday. And live just isnt delivering the speed required to compete properly with any SE.

Hopefully they will improve this over the next few months. But otherwise the look isnt so bad. And I like the scrolling option when going over results.

Plus another SE to rank high in :)

I don't like the lack of numbers for the results since the paging has given way to scrolling. So if I want to know where I rank for a keyword and I am in some position that requires scrolling I can't find the number. Seems it us using the MSN Search results, though so nothing earth shattering in the result set which is really what matters.

that scrolling on the search results page really bugs me. You scroll and it gradually comes to a rest? Does that bug anyone else? Too slow to load up as well.

if they can make it better, it would be a cool feature. Only needs faster to load, and they need to get rid of that "blurry" effect when you scroll.

live.com site is cool both look-wise and feature wise but is slow after loading page when it fetch data from rss. Sometimes I'm finding some problem when I use with other then IE, such as mozila or firefox.
