(IMHO) Google is way better than MSN Search - and based on my site stats, 93% of web-users agree! i think a lot of n00bs probably use it..
Msn is for n00bs as tearabite have said, google got the cash and they will always own search engine market until A GOOD IDEA is made, google's algorithm > all Only people that is 2 lazy to type www.google.com use msn as microsoft instal IE with msn as the "main page"(my browser isn't in english lol) And some people(yea yea... they are really n00bs) don't know google LOL
G has traditionally been my homepage. But now that i'm running MSN AdCenter and Yahoo! Search ads, I'm forcing myself to use each of their search engines a bit every day...to get a feel of the user experience
I hardly use MSN search. I use Google search most of the time, but sometimes Yahoo! as well... but never MSN!
i use msn - mainly for checking backlinks - they record backlinks more accurately than google. i believe google actually does it better but it tries to second guess which ones are natural and which ones are not.
Well to tell the truth it depends on the person you know, for example, how many webmasters would use msn search? Very few... however like some people have already stated it is used by many noobs, people that dont spend that much time on the net or people who simply have a different life style. For example if I had a business selling phones, I would advertise it on MSN, but if I was advertising hosting, i would simply choose google. You just got to know where your potential customers are going to choose.
My fiance uses MSN and Yahoo. MSN is currently her homepage and she has the Yahoo toolbar. It really all depends on where she decides to type her search. Many of my firends are the same way. Which search they use is determined by which IM they install that includes a toolbar. One of my friends keeps MSN as his homepage because he doesn't know how to change it.
people who don't search enough to tell the difference between the the various search engines. Thena gain i use it to check my ranking on key phrases. (Actually i just confirm what my rank checking tool tells me).
It seems VERY few people use MSN by comparison to Yahoo and Google. Obviously Google is the one to aim to try and get in, if any, as long term (and it will take longer to get into google and rank well), you are in a much better position and a bigger audience.
