MSN - Is or isn't crawling my site?

    Hello,

    I have a strange question. I am able to view what spiders are crawling my site and I have never seen msnbot listed. However, if I look at the pages on my site MSN has indexed, 250-ish pages are listed (out of 8500). Also it appears as if they were cached quite recently. Does anyone have any insight as to what is going on here? What am I doing wrong - or could it be a bug in my stats program?

    Hi,

    Hard to say. Either a bug or a configuration problem in the stats program.

    If you have access to the log file, look for
    msnbot/1.0 (+http://search.msn.com/msnbot.htm)
    or
    msnbot/0.9 (+http://search.msn.com/msnbot.htm)
    .

    Thanks Jean-Luc! Looking at the log files, it looks like msnbot has been all over my site but for some reason the stats program isn't picking it up. :D Have a great day!

    MSN is almost always the first to hit my new sites, and the largest until I submit my Google sitemap.
