Some pages on a client site are just 301 redirects to another page. The redirects are done using htaccess. MSN is indexing these pages even though they are just redirects. The cache of the page is just the server header saying its moved: Anyone else notice this?
yep having the same problem if you do a search for link:newdomain.com then it will show the old 301'd domain in the backlinks. seems like they are treating 301s as backlinks rather than redirects.
Its massive for all doing affiliate marketing as they can just get tons of affiliate redirect links indexed and MSN will rank them.
Well then, I doubt this will alst for very long then, will it? Like most search engines, when something like this comes up, its usually resolved quite quickly. (Apart fromt he Yahoo redirect thing a while back).

I have the same problem with 301 pages where MSN cache says they have been moved permanently and it is only these pages that show up now. Seems like the site have been banned for doing 301's......
MSN has lost the plot, the index hasn't altered for months. MSNdude has left apparently. They will be using Yahoos results within 2 months I reckon.
Its been close to 3 weeks for me with the same issue I remove all the 301's to see if MSN would notice the 404 errors and come back a crawling...
ALL of my sites that has ever had any 301 redirect are almost gone from their index. One of my sites that has thousands of pages indexed in any searchengine has only 2 pages indexed in MSN and one of the is a redirect with no cached page and the other page is a redirect with a so called cached page where it says it has been Permanently moved. WTH is going on with MSN???????? I have emailed them several times but never heard back of course!
