MSN is crap!

Some time back my friend setup an MSN account when she got her computer through Radio Shack and the guy put in 1 wrong letter in her user name and she went through too much trouble trying to get the problem corrected. First they charged her for two accounts when she coorected them. Then they refused to change it unless she paid some $200 for some stupid fee. And last they refused to change it without waiving the fee, even after I proved to them that the mistake was not her fault.

Talk about anti customer satisfaction

Sounds like MSN is shaping up to be the next AOL....and that IS a bad thing.

When we say google is the best, we forgot about their customer service which is equally great, msn and overture have to do quite a lot of arrangements in their present system to reach the level of google.

Well I think we are generalizing a bit too much. Sure, this might be annoying issue as described above, but that doesn't mean MSN is bad.

All the big boys have customer support issues. Be it HP, Toshiba, Google or Microsoft. These companies are too big to have perfect customer support, at least that seems to be the case.

There can be 99.9% customer satisfaction, but I doubt you can achieve 100%.

Well said. See how far a little common sense goes :)

It's a shame that so many people cry foul and lack that very same common sense that you possess. So much for a perfect world...oh well.

No offense Ted, but it sounds like we're only getting half the story here or your friend is being less the complete in divulging "what" exactly is happening.

Agreed, I am a Microsoft fanboy, but anytime I've had to contact MSN or Microsoft CSR's, they've been most helpful, courteous and freindly..not to mention fast. I've actually never heard of a complaint against MSN's CS before this thread.. so I think we'd need more information.

That (above) and the fact that it's another "friend" of a friend type thing... just leads me to give it little credibility at this point.

Agreed awful experience but I can't believe they aren't doing everything possible to remedy the situation, I've had nothing but good experience!

And that's another good reason to avoid Radio Shack :)
