Hi all It`s about week or two MSN doesn`t show anything on the link: command. Does anybody know what`s the problem with them? Thanks!
MSN disabled those features lately : http://blogs.msdn.com/livesearch/archive/2007/03/28/we-are-flattered-but.aspx
It`s a pity... I was using this to check my competitors back links all the time What should we do now I think their new "Webmaster Section" will be ready in some time, but "some time" could be month or more...
I understand that MSN no longer responds to the query Link:command, but when I checked my backlinks at Marketleap, I had 0 MSN backlinks; down from 400+ the previous week. The Google and Yahoo backlinks climbed slightly. During the most recent Google reconfiguration, my site dropped from PR3 to PR2. On one hand I hope it's due to the recent lose of MSN backlinks, on the other hand how do you get the links back? Your help is always appreciated
I don't think that any of the software solutions that check backlinks for MSN are valid anymore - I've used Web CEO in the past and it no longer even tries to check backlinks for MSN.
Read more about it in this thread (which is right below this one): http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=285685
I've been observing this for the past 10 days, i thought it was just my mistake. So its MSN's mistake.
Despite whatever it is that MSN is doing, the page rank of my web site went up a notch last week to a PR3.
The link command no longer works. However, if you want to search for back links, you can use Live Search and run the following query: www.domain-name.com -domain:www.domain-name.com This will however, only get you URL links, and not all links.
