Well doesn't Yahoo already own a big chunk of Google? MS buying a chunk of Yahoo, is like buying a chunk of Google. Oh, who gives a chunk ;)

I don't see it happening. Maybe a part of Yahoo, but not the whole company. Yahoo is worth too much. However, Yahoo's stock is somewhat low lately, so possibly they will buy a part of yahoo.

I saw a story yesterday or the day before where a Yahoo exec acknowledged that MS and Yahoo had talks, but they fell through, so I guess it won't be happening. Too lazy to find the link.

With MS missing the boat on a slice of AOL the next strategic partnership that does in fact make sense is Yahoo, but I gotta wonder what the folks at Yahoo are figuring on gaining from this - inflated stock value for short term gains?
