I've worked on several different accounts and all of them had the lowest amount of traffic coming from MSN (as expected)... For that reason, I usually only advertise the high volume keywords on MSN.. as I know I won't get clicks on the lower volume ones or long-tailed keywords.
However, depending on the keyword, sometimes MSN can have higher conversions & CTR =)

I still don't like their UI.. it totally sucks =/

Thats why Microsoft wants yahoo.. so they can actually get somewhere.. i mean msn really doesnt have a lot of places to place your ads on if you think about it

With free credits, why not to use it? AdWords may not be the as good as google, but they are growing so I have experienced increased traffic to my site coming from Adwords

MSN have low traffic i know .. and no places to put the add , i personally don't search with MSN !!

Also there is a bug with update to first position if you click save meaning you will pay that price or they show you .. I don't understand it very well .. maybe they mean it ..

Not completely useless. My sites get some converting traffic from them. When you're already maxed out on Google and Yahoo, it's another place to turn for traffic. I will say-- the Adcenter interface is horrible. Clunky and too slow.

it works very well for me.....currently I'm using adwords, YSM and adcenter, believe me adcenter's conversion rate is 10 times than YSM and adwords for me. they drive quality traffic...

It's not so bad, after all it's cheaper than the others and still converts well.

I am using both adwords and adCenter.
I usually tend to make my ad copy specific and telling the viewers what they will get if they click on the ad. I don't want my ad to be too appealing and get low quality clicks just because the ad was catchy. [I want rather less clicks and more conversion]. This works perfectly well with adCenter, whereas with AdWords it doesn't cuz when a keyword has a low CTR, they make your keyword inactive and want you to bid crazy amounts per click if you want your ad to be shown. I can of course have a high CTR with a catchy text but I don't want people to click on it just because they're curious, but because they are interested.

That's why adCenter works for me, becuase they don't make me pay $5-$10 per click if my ad has low CTR.

i just activate account with Adcenter today. I like the feature, we'll see if it helps me convert my sale or not. but I think if you have a proper plan and try understanding the site feature. It is the same and sometimes, too many clicks and too many impressions are not always good. Less Clicks and More Converting that's the good part. Adword, many of you have too many choice to choose- tons of advertisers, so they just click from one to another untill they like one. But for Adcenter they don't have too many choices so maybe you end up with good sale.

Damn, Now- I know Adcenter is really suck like you said. I had a campaign up for almost 24 hours already and No even 1 page Impress. What tf? and all my keyword display Active. I tried to test it out I had changed all my bid to 2 dollars a click to all the keyword, even some keywords with just 0.05 cents max. but nothing appeared...I think maybe my 5 dollars activation fee is worth more than the 50 dollars free of click promotion ha! I wonder if I change 50 bids for each keyword- it will have some page impression or not...

Yes, its good to hear everyone hates MSN Ad center but i guess they are willing to improve it soon as its now everyone pay 5$ to have the service .. and its like you pay to get something not to get bad system ..

If i have ever see this topic before i register the system i would not even pay them or need an account first place.
