When you think about it Yahoo was unofficially dead for a long time. Just stay with the trend, as for now it's Google. In 10 years ... who knows. Don't be stubborn to abandon the sinking ship :) or you will sink in right with it.

You never know, this might be a good thing for us webmasters. One less search engine being used means one less engine to rank in. Start optimizing your sites for Bing and you should see traffic start to rise.

Google isn't all about money. There are principles involved, more than i can ever say for the other companies in the scene.

Yes, that's kind'a true since they are labeled as "Open Minded" and "Globally Concerned" with environment and other issues, but not entirely since "money matters" for their shareholders :D.

For real? how sad. I love Yahoo and this is really a bad news. I also use yahoo to check my backlinks.

They have both amalgamated Bing is- Yahoo and MSN - last time I looked I was still high in the Yahoo search engine about 3 seconds ago ;)

It does not really matter because like all changes to the Internet we will just have to adjust- we have little choice. Address the things you can change and do not waste time and energy worrying about the things you can't? :D

I really don't see why this is so bad. Bing is a search engine with high backing and a lot of investment from microsoft, so why would it be bad for them to become legitimate competition to G? Google is still on top and will be for a long time, but just like with car makers - competition creates innovation. I like both G and Bing :)

I remember years ago Altavista ... it is still around and it was a google in its time. Yahoo may be on life support but it is not dead.

I'm happy that google will get some more competition (hopefully), and fingers crossed that microsoft aren't going to just remove the yahoo functionality, i'm hoping they'll study and learn from what yahoo is based upon.

This is rediculous! Yahoo actually have quite good results, whereas bing is a load of BS! I suggest a boycott of Bing!
