OK this is quite a complex problem to describe, so stay with me: I have a blog at the workplace (http://blogs.company.com/users/ssjsid) and I have an RSS feed for the same (http://blogs.company.com/users/ssjsid/data/rss). When I open the RSS feed using a browser, it gives me the option to subscribe to the feed and then adds it to Outlook 2007 under the RSS feeds folder. Every blog entry appears as a separate mail now. Then I created a rule in Outlook which moves these updates to the Inbox because the RSS feeds folder does not indicate unread items until you expand it (generally at the workplace, if you want someone to read something you want it to be as visible as possible and not expect them to keep checking all their folders in case something has been updated). If you have followed me till now, here is the problem: I need something which does all this when someone clicks on a link which says "Subscribe via email" that is placed on my blog. Alternatively, is there a way to provide Email notifications for my blog updates? The blogging platform is based on LiveJournal (a very old version). Everything and everyone is using Microsoft (Windows, Office etc etc). So you don't have to enter your email/user id because it is a single sign-on.
