Okay, I call BS. The Holocaust and pogroms were conducted by European regimes, not any of the parties you are discussing this issue with. Arabs didn't do it, and no government which still exists was involved in the pogroms.

The US purchased Alaska from Russia, which controlled it due to colonial expansion. The UK invaded Ireland and has occupied it in the face of local resistance, internal strife, and terrorist attacks, much as Israel has controlled Palestinian areas and found them difficult to control.

You know, I don't have any problem with the Palestinian areas voting to join Jordan, Egypt or Lebanon. Put it on the table if you think it would satisfy all parties. I suspect that it will not.

I also like the Greater Israel plan which gives full rights to the Palestinian people in exchange for support of the government. Put that on the table, too.

The two-state solution is looking less promising each day.

And uploas...both UK and US are as free for Jews as any place could be. Large Jewish communities where there are no pogroms. There are other countries where Jews are equally safe and free. Safer and freer than Israel with its military conscription.

I lived in Fort Lauderdale for a long time inside great area (near Boca Raton). I NEVER felt Anti-semitic behavior from anyone, including my great Syrian neighbors. we respected them and they even celebrated Passover with us.

Palestinians got huge problem of identity. the grow up in territories of Israel, but not under administration of Israel. they HATE the term "Palestinians" and they like to be called Arab-Israeli.
but their families cant forgive them for leaving their village \ town for moving to Tel Aviv or Haifa, where they live peacefully with us. I have a mosque and Ukraine church 3-4 kilometers from my house. so, part of them move to Israel, and some of them prefer terror. my point is that West Bank isn't our problem, Gaza is.

peace with West Bank is easy for both - Abu Mazan (Abas) and for us. but the problem is the terror and the rockets from Gaza strip, and Gaza city.

 

Have you ever been to Gaza or the West Bank... to see under what brutal conditions the Palestinians live? What is the effect of blockade? What s the effect of the apartheid wall? Do you really know the other side?

 

yes, i visited west bank on April 1st.

Some of them choose to learn and work (in Israel) and some of them prefer to go on terror. the west is effected from Israel - the richer area, while the eastern side is (most) desert and mosques.

True--and if I'd been there, I'd have protested. I still support massive reparations for Native and African Americans alive today. The slaughter of the Native Americans was a greater long-term injustice than the holocaust.

Well, you have a more reasonable view of this than many Israelis I've heard from. Many times I hear the Arabs being lumped together. Of course, the people of the West Bank have many complaints about illegal settlements, barrier walls and restricted roadways, so I hope you'll work for justice in your country on these issues.
