MP3 Streaming script?

I am wondering how all the major music streaming sites make their pop up player codes? What type of web language is this done with, and how can I make my own streaming script?

I want a small music streaming script for my new site http://www.studio.mdigitalx.com because I want visitors to be able to listen to my songs without having to download them. Can a small flash file be able to do this? Can this be made with javascript or PHP?

Are there any simple scripts out there which can stream chosen MP3s?
