I read some were that if you make an audio recording and put it on your site, then submit the link to different podcast directories, some directories can even convert audio to text, this makes your site available to a wider audience, therefore increasing your SERP's! Has anyone tried this? I believe you can use Audacity (free audio software) to create the audio recording. Has anyone tried this and if so what is were the results? This way, if you have video and audio no your site and your competitors don't, this makes your site more attractive to Google - interesting?!

Yes definitely it will help you to promote your blog or website. Even I tried submitting in many posdcast and vodcast directory which is very helpful to get huge traffic off course coversion rate is not as good as it should be according to traffic.
