I run a blog that has a lot of written content, but I also post some MP3s (that I have made) and occasionally a YouTube video. Much to my dismany, I recently read Google's TOS closely: "In order to avoid associations with copyright claims, website publishers may not display Google ads on web pages with MP3, Video, News Groups, and Image Results." This scares me!!! I think I have been doing pretty well with AdSense (my site is still growing), but I have to make sure I am in compliance with Google's policies. What I am wondering is: Do I have to remove all of the MP3s from my site, or can I just remove the adsense from the pages that link to my MP3s and have YouTube videos on them? It would cost me a little bit of money to have someone make a WordPress plugin that disabled the sidebar widgets that display adsense for two categories of the blog, but if this will bring me into compliance then I will do that. If that won't, and my whole site can't have MP3s, then I'll have to find some other means of generating revenue
I suppose it depends on the MP3's and Videos you have. If in doubt ask them instead of taking a risk.
I am wondering what exactly do they mean by "Results" if it was like this: "In order to avoid associations with copyright claims, website publishers may not display Google ads on web pages with MP3, Video, News Groups, and Image CONTENT." ... it would be more clear that you can not put AdSense on such pages Another thing is that the "Image Results" part would mean that you can not put AdSense in picture galleries. I would ask google about it cause the TOS looks unclear to me
They have asked me to add a disclaimer to my MP3 site and reactivated the site after it has been done.
