What do you think about .mp domain names ?

    I own mobipedia.mp

You can register them for free at chi.mp and after that, you can buy them for 20$ per year if you are satisfied

Mine is free, but if it has any value I will buy it :)

Well i dont know what you are really asking here :)

If you are asking if the domain alone is worth anything without content then i would say no.. But if you develop it, any name can be worth a lot in time..

Yes you are right, but also the extension matters in valuating a domain name. In this case is about the .mp one.

Yes the extension is by far the most important thing in evaluating a domain name and that is why i say it is worthless.. I have been in the domain business for a few years now and this is the first time i hear of the .mp extension :) Stick to .com, .net, .org, .us and .biz..

actually, it's free forever on chi.mp. You only have to pay if you want to move the domain off from their generic profile pages.

@markn26, if you move from their profile pages you can host your website, if not, that site forever is a blog.
