That's the theory of some people. It is caught between Internet Explorer and Google Chrome. What are your thoughts? http://www.pcworld.com/article/187222/why_firefox_will_flame_out.html
I think this piece of info is coming from the source which is hell bent on running FF down. Mozilla has developed a very good and loyal fan base for itself over the years and is doing a wonderful job with constant up gradation! I for one, do not see it going away... anytime soon! Regards, RightMan
the major plus point of mozilla firefox is it support lot lot a lot of plugins and addons for technical people in all the fields starting form A to Z, so it will never come to end
Frankly i think firefox could go down because its got to much new competition plus every browser goes down looking at the history
Personally, I like Chrome for its small size and simplicity. Firefox for its support of W3C standards and awesome addon support. IE, bleh!
I use CHrome more than FF. But its better because few sites don't support Chrome and I have to use FF or IE. - Mr.President -
At the moment, I am using IE. I happen to like using FireFox while surfing the web, but I would prefer IE6 or Google Chrome. Google Chrome loads quickly, and I normally use it when doing quick things on the Internet. My normal browser has to be IE because I only use FF ( firefox ) for the heck of it,
If your not using firefox, its probably because you haven't really tried it yet. Use it for a week, you will never change again
Well as long as future then I would say Google Chrome will overtake FF because of faster loading browser and Google's Brand. Anyway I don't care about it since I am using Opera for 4 years now and I will stick with Opera.
chrome is nice, but they have a ways to go before they could overcome firefox as far as functionality and usability. What they do have going for them is a strong marketing campaign, whereas FF is much better, much easier to develop for, and much more fun to use altogether, they are lacking the strong marketing campaign. Not a lot of everyday people know about FF, im willing to bet 75% of FF users are web developers.
Your right. I've just been using it for a couple of days on my labtop, but never downloaded it for my desktop, lol. Very true. But sometimes when am browsing the Internet, some of it's features crash and I have to reload the browser, IE is fine, but since I've been hearing bad stories about it, I am now deciding to switch. Am still deciding, Google Chrome or FireFox. Opera never really made it too much of a big deal for me to use or download, so I never tried it out. I would prefer the latest version of FF as a normal browser ( change mind from 1st post ) , since IE is out of the picture, and Google Chrome for just fun browsing ( quick stuff browser )
FF is ideal for me as a web guy too. Has great add ons and toolbars. When Bing came about there was a lot of hoohaa how it will decimate Google's dominance, there was even a comparison search tool which compared SERP's from the 4 major engines. My server stats showed a significant blip in Bing traffic but after a few months it all settled down as people returned to their old habits. One of the catches Google has over say Bing is the other tools Google gives you. It's not just about the SERP's but also about simple things like Matt's videos, webmaster tools etc. It's a place that's given us many free valuable tools, Picasa is what I use for photos, load direct to your own blog etc. Mozilla is like that too, and you can trust them. There's more to it than just the browser.
