Mozilla.com, how it's traffic up and down like this?

Anyone has idea why it looks like this?

 

Maybe they spent money advertising at those times.

 

i see patterns (not as extreme but close) like that in some of my sites with google analytics, yet dont do anything different during those times

also curious about such a phenomon

 

They are trying to go for the flame theme. LOL!!! .... The other day, I thought it was strange that mozilla traffic have been going up and down like that.

 

Maybe those are the times that there are new versions or updates.

 

I would bet Dondon is right. That makes sense that each time an update of firefox 2.0 or firefox 3.0 beta version is released the traffic would spike.

 

You know, this may be true... but my updates automatically download by them self. I personally don't go to Mozilla website and download the new updates.

 

I think we can forget about Firefox 3.0 for an explanation, it's all about Firefox 2.0.

2.0.0.12 -> 7 February 2008
2.0.0.11 -> 30 November 2007

After each update, a mozilla page is opened in firefox.

no , its not a problem of Mozilla traffic , rather its due to algorithm of alexa
check out the graph of any webmaster related website it will be like that
