Hello friends, I have a tech blog wmtechie.com which is almost 6 months old but the blog doesn't get the moz rank yet. When I check my blog in my Google webmasters tools it displayed 2.5k backlinks while moz shows zero. I haven't block the access of the moz to crawl my blog. I really don't understand the reason behind this. My blog also perform well in Google on various keywords. any help will be highly appreciated.
Has RogerBot and DotBot crawled your website already? Just check your cPanel Raw logs and find out. Also find out how many times they have crawled it.
Moz posted on Mozscape API Updates on September 10 saying that they had cancelled that month's update. So potentially, if we assume they'll update October 10, you might have been unlucky and missed out on three months worth of moz updates? I got similarly confused by the lack of updates - they claim to have a 2-3 week schedule, but they actually take more like 5-6 weeks between updates (when they don't cancel them!). edit they're updating October 8th apparently!
No need to really worry about Moz metrics as they don't rank your site. The one that does do that-Google-is showing your links and are indexed. Moz metrics along with Majestic's can be manipulated. Don't lose focus on who really matters.
Moz is not everything and they can't get result in search engine and even ranking wise Moz Paid subscriptions tells you about link analysis where you can get everything detail
Moz actually pay attention to sites linked through bit.ly because they've teamed up so that Moz can mine data that way.
Below is a List of Things that can improve MozRank 1. Backlinks From Authority Sites 2. Use Moz Toolbar 3. Interlinking Articles 4. Follow Common SEO Tips 5. Build Some Reputation
Why you are giving priority to Moz rank. Don't wast Your time just submit your site map to search engine. Try to write unique content post & share them on social website ( only one time) you have done. Give priority to your SERP
Thank you all for your suggestion. I am now focusing on content and credibility of my site. Hope everything will be fine in future.
Hi there. I visited a little bit your website. Here's some advices : 1. I see you use Yoast. I recommend you disable author archive, because you are the only one writing there for now and It can cause duplicate content issues. You can activate or deactivated it at any time at : titles & metas > archives > Duplicate content prevention 2. Readjust your banner positioning. You tried to squeeze all the ads in the top part of your website. In fact, now I have open a post link of yours. Above the fold I got this : Your banner - Google ADS - The title of the article - Google ADS - Search bar ( agaaain from google ) - Google ADS. Ooh, and a line of content : For many reasons website owners would prefer to transfer domain name to another . That's all I get above the fold. And this is the MOST important part of your website. And that menu really have to be that huge? come one, I can see those buttons from space. Almost the same width as that leaderboard you have on top. 3. I don't understand the point of breadcrumbs if few lines below you have a category link. Again. unnecessary content filling up the above the fold space. 4. On the front page that huge titles with little excerpt length doesn't work for me. ( not to mention that here, above the fold, EVERYTHING is advertising, including that greengeeks webhost review ). Try to add more excerpt, add the thumbnails or just reduce those titles a little bit and than add more posts on frontpage. Your website looks like a rss reader. I take that back. Even your feed looks better http://feeds.feedburner.com/wmtechie , it has more excerpt. OMG. I know this isn't related to Moz rank, PageRank or Toothfairy Rank. But it's related to user experience. And in the long term, user experience determines your rank ( no matter what type of rank ) . Cheers
Moz have pushed the update back to October 14 lol To be honest I don't get why they are considered such experts when they have such a lag between updates. Waiting their scheduled 2-3 weeks for metrics is useless enough; waiting months is just no use at all.
