I am trying to move my wordpress domain to a new host, so instead of copying the same files, i did a new install on my new host, and imported the database.

Since I am trying to add add-on domain and assigning to the new domain folder, currently the new blog url is
www.2ndomain.com/addondirectory --->This is the new wordpress blog

So after adding the add-on domain and assigning to the directory, the domain doesn't work load.

Is there any guide on how to change the url so my blog can start working again.

how to change it from www.2ndomain.com/addondirectory to www.domain.com?

i tried editing the wp_options database, but still it doesn't work.

Any help will be appreciated on changing the url's.

first change the domain from the wp_options table then you will be able to login to the wp-login.php. After then go to settings page and set the new blog url.

Did you change the database options from wp-config.php file. It may also be a reason.
