So I have a hostgator account with a blog already so I want to move my other blog hosted on Godaddy to the hostgator account.

    Should I:

-Copy the FTP files exactly into the newly created Dir?
    OR
-Export a Wordpress XML file and upload it on the other side?

I think the hostgator techs will transfer one site for your account. If they will not do that, the Web Hosting Manager (WHM) control panel will transfer the site from one server to the other.

If you do not have access to the WHM control panel, export the database from the old server, import it to the new server, and upload files for the site to your new server.
