There is something in Adwords, an indisputable invisible energy which does not make sense.

I thought I worked out a system which should be consistent - i.e - follow their instructions.

    No.

I moved an ad that was attracting far much too unproductive attention, so I created a new campaign for it with a different target location (from 10+ countries - to just USA).

Now, all the same settings were correct because I copied and pased in adwords editor (its a shame you cannot do this in browser; move ad groups freely around).

However, now the same ad that was attracting thousands of impressions per day, is attacting about 1 or 2 every 2 days????????

Something of a similar nature happened on my other accounts, there is no rhyme or reason to this.

    I know why.

When you move an adgroup fom a campaign to another campaign it doesn really move it, it gets deleted from the source campaign and it get placed as a new ad group in the destination campaign. This reset the history of every single keyword in that ad, and high ctr keywords that were triggering the ad very often now have to rebuild their good quality score.

Still, this should not turn a high traffic ad group into a low traffic one, and this is why i agree with you when you say that there is an indisputable invisible energy which does not make sense into adwords.

    Have a nice day, Henry

Lol, thanks Henry... i guess that means that I have to redo the adgroup from scratch as opposed to copying pasting it... ?
