Moving site to a different domain how to do it...

I'm going to move a wordpress blog which is now under a directory on one of my site...I want it to have its own domain.

Now it's look like this mysite.com/dir I just want to move the "dir" to it's own domain.

Can I forward all the search engines value such as PR, incoming links for this blog to the new domain ? If so...how ?

 

Use a 301. If you have access to .htaccess that is the best way to go.

you can do a 301 redirect by changing the htaccess file
