    Hi,
My ecommerce site is on root (http://www.mysite.com/) I wanted to move it to http://sub-domain.mysite.com and have my main site as being a promo tool for the catalog.

Will this lose rank, PR, or anything else bad?

    Thanks.

If you add items to you cart via form; I don't think google can follow it. Just make sure, on your cart, pages, that (if you have links back to product), they go to the www domain. I do this right now; and it doesn't cause me any hardships at all.
