Moving keywords to another adgroup

I have about 1,000 keywords on exact match in one adgroup. I want to peel and stick some of these into their own individual adgroup, so there is one keyword in the adgroup. Doing this for high traffic keywords.

Will this affect my quality score or history? Or will they continue as before?

    Thanks,

    Jon

Keyword history & QS is kept at account level, so no you won't lose it.

You will of course have to come up with new adverts though (which obviously won't have history!) for the new adgroups.

This will have a strong positive impact on your Quality Score, which is obviously at keyword level (as different keywords have different QS's), as long as you write relevant adverts.

The title line should include the search term - this tells Google your advert is very relevant, and is the main advantage of ungrouping keywords.

The history of adverts is irrelevant as well - it's the historical performance of the keywords that you will lose.
