Moving Hosting - Need Suggestions

So, Hostgator is being a dick, changing servers and stuff without letting me know, having to update my nameservers.

So need a good hosting provider that can handle a cpanel backup no problem.

Probably best to give some more information to get better recommendations...

    Disk space and bandwidth?
    Location?
    Budget?

I don't care, just one with addon domains, I can always upgrade if need be, I don't need obnoxious hosting providers either buddy :)

I wasn't being obnoxious, if it came across that way then I apologise - you can't just open up a thread saying "I need a hosting provider" without giving any specifications whatsoever - as I'm sure you're aware, there are millions of providers out there...

Yea, I can review packages myself, I'm not stupid.

    Something like

"Hey BeerJacket, try http://www.liquidweb.com/ I've never had a problem with them"

    That simple

    Fair enough {shrugs}

Liquid Web are very good, that would be my first recommendation. I'd also recommend MDDHosting - I'm not affiliated with them, but they do get extremely good reviews over on http://www.webhostingtalk.com/

*assuming you want a US based host.

I think if you do not know yourself how to move sites, than I would say talk to a good host who can help you with all move and setup your sites properly

LiquidWeb also get my vote, overall of their support/network/performance are just good.

For your notes I'm also not affiliated in any kind with LiquidWeb, they're more like competitor to be very honest :p

I am also going to have to vouch for liquidweb as well, the support i get (well i use their storm servers but its the same support) really is tremendous. You will pay a little more for the service there but they really are top notch. Also they run their own datacenters which gives them an extra level of quality control if problems arise.

While changing your web hosting provider what actually changes in your record is just the name server information. Thereby, if you want to change your domain name, you can easily opt for that. Another good ideal while changing your web hosting is to update all your technical contact info on your domain name record.

You can send an email to a potential web hosting service and judge their customer service, firsthand.

Another great host is A2 Hosting. I'm not affiliated with them, but I've used them for several years.

I can put forward a recommendation not to go to the sites that say top 10 hosting or anything of the likes because those are affiliate sites and for them the best host will be the one that pays them the most for passing you on to them.
