Im using this guide from seomoz.org: http://www.seomoz.org/blog/seo-guide-how-to-properly-move-domains I created a test folder at http://www.internetce.com/blog1/ Using a 301 redirect, I pointed http://www.brokerbag.com (a test blog site) to the above mentioned folder. I am currently getting a 403 error. Anyone have any ideas on how to configure this to make it work? Many thanks!
what control panel are you using (cpanel / plesk / webmin etc ?) or are you using native linux/windows to control it ?
Does your web hosting package allow multiple domain names? If so, whichever directory you want http://www.brokerbag.com to point at, it should be in the "/" directory, not a sub-directory of another domain. If that makes any sense.
@jeff - cpanel controls brokerbag..im not using a control panel for the work im doing on internetce.com...just dreamweaver to add the folder im thinking that i need to install wordpress on internetce.com's server and copy all of the contents of brokerbag.com to it...then create the 301 to forward. im concerned about the link structure though...im worried that when i switch it over, im going to lose all of those links, which is why im doing it in the first place...
