I will be moving to Singapore shortly. Paypal's FAQ's say that if you move to a new country for a long period of time, you need to close your existing account and open a new paypal account from the new country of residence. The problem here is with verifying the account with my credit card. Obviously, I will not be able to get a credit card from a Singapore bank immediately. Can I use my Indian credit card to verify my paypal account and mention my Singapore address as the credit card address, since while adding a credit card the country in the address filed, is locked to the country of residence?
Well in your case you should keep your existing paypal account and use some VPN kinda stuff to access it from indian ip. I think this is the only way for you. However also try getting cc from singapore to make seperate account in SG.
Any reason why I can't use it? I have a different credit card which I've not used in my existing paypal account. Is there a way paypal can know that the credit card is issued in India and not in Singapore?
Is there any workaround? I would get a mastercard debit card when I open a bank account in singapore. Can that be used to verify the paypal account?
