    Hello Everyone..

Thanks for spending time to read my post. i currently own few domains. out of that 3 domains are progressing better... now each having 1500 unique visitors.. approx 30k page views daily on that sites...

i have VPS server as Godaddy 89$ per month.. but this is get stuck most often nowadays... when i reached for support.. they replied the reason like resource usage causing the problem..

80$ per month seems to be more costly.. it cant handle 5k unique visitors.. is this make sense? out of 3 sites one is zenphoto gallery other one wordpress and final with vbulletin board.

i already have reseller account in Hostgator, so i am planned to close hosting account in godaddy and use host gator reseller account for hosting my sites..

is this good idea? even VPS cant handle my sites.. will servers provided for reseller account will be reliable??

your suggestions most welcome... i am also working on to optimize my sites..

any how i am planned to go out from godaddy.. if hostgator reseller account doesnot suite my req.. can you suggest the best hosting plan (also company) for my sites.. i am launching another 5 domains in this month... ontotal expecting 15k unique visitors from next month..

    Hi there,
Hostgator hosting should be good to go. They have an awesome support. Live chat 24/7 every single day. Give it a try first. If it happened, you are not satisfied in some ways, tell them what you want exactly. I believe. They can come out the best solution for you. Temporary, just stick with them.

I can't say anything of the chosen option, but I know there should be webhosting providers which could efficiently handle your sites. Godaddy has never been considered as the best host anyway.

You definitely should leave Godaddy. Your reseller account should be able to handle it but keep a close eye on your resources. If it ends up being to much go for a VPS at HostGator or somewhere else.

A decent VPS should be able to handle the websites you mentioned, so it sounds like your VPS just doesn't have quite enough CPU and/or RAM.

Can you post the specs of your current VPS to give us all a better idea of your requirements?

Hostgator is a good choice. They're great to deal with and their support is amazing.

    Thanks for your reply...

here is my specs of current VPS

    OS: Linux CentOS
    • RAM: 4 GB
    • Storage: 60 GB‡‡
    • Bandwidth: 2,000 GB/mo

i have 3 websites which is getting 5k traffic and expecting totally 15k traffic including other sites too.. news article and image gallery will be equally added in all sites...

i am getting around 3$ per day (mostly Asian Traffic so only), so i am looking for reliable and cheap hosting.. with reasonable support.. ( i have experience of waiting more than a day for getting response... i dont want that to happen )

Your RAM is ok, but you didn't mention the specs for your CPU. Your CPU speed is going to make all the difference with a high level of traffic like you have. If you only have something like 1GHz, that would be why you are having issues.

I have used HostGator and GoDaddy and personally, I prefer Hostgator hands down. I have HostGator for almost five years and they have been the most consistent in terms of service, reliability and customer support.

Your just moving to another crap host, I would stay away from overselling hosting providers, that's your first tip.

They can be good if your on a decent server but it's like playing Russian roulette it could go bad all of a sudden or not, If your site doesn't use a lot of resources I'm sure you will be fine, but if you do, plan on getting suspended as they don't like sites that use a lot of cpu/ram/bandwidth even if they say "UNLIMITED"

Good luck and may the force be with you!

I Understand.. i had lot of bitter experience on that. i was spending 50$ per month with MediaTemple they charged more for over CPU , then i went with Godaddy around $100, it is also useless as my sites going down every few hours...

i need reliable hosting now. i dont have any other way than testing it one by one :(

If your budget is really $50-100 per month, you are going to be WAY better off getting a good VPS. $50 will buy you a nice VPS at one of the reliable, well-known VPS hosts.

If you know a linux I recommend hetzner dedicated server. We don't have any manage server from them to tell you how is their support . But for unmanaged they are ok.
I work with them over 5 years, and I think they are the best ( of course for what I need ), and because we manage our server.

    Best regards
