Moving from .blogspot to a privately owned domain

I have moved from .blogspot to a privately owned domain. My old address was bdtechie.blogspot, the site is now bdtechie.com... I have noticed that the alexa ranking of my blogspot site is increasing but for bdtechie.com the ranking is not improving. How do I stop indexing the blogspot domain? Do I really need to stop the indexing the .blogspot domain? Or do I need to remove it from the webmaster dasboard? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Well, it looks like it is redirecting fine. When I visit bdtechie.blogspot, it goes straight to bdtechie.com, so everything's good on that front.

I think it will just take time for everything to transfer over. The authority, links, etc. Give it a few months really. Just keep moving along with whatever you do on a daily basis. (ie, build links, add content, etc)

    Best of luck bud.

looks good. It will take a few months for everything to tranfser over. Start getting some direct links for the new domain though, this will speed up the process.

Unfortunately the blogger platform is not very SEO friendly.....you should think about going the Wordpress route!

The best thing you can do to it is to redirect it to your new domain; then, focus more on link building with your new domain.
