Moving from Blogger to Wordpress

I want to move my blog from blogger to wordpress. I have tried to customize my blog on blogger, but feel I am limited by blogger and that wordpress as better features.

However, I have some major concerns.

First, how difficult is it to transfer content from a blogger blog to wordpress? Do comments transfer? My main concern with the transfer is that the urls of the pages would change. I have been using a custom domain name, but Blogger seems to have a specific way of generating urls for new pages. Because I recieve a fair amount of search engine traffic to specific pages that aren't the home page, I am concerned that when I move to wordpress this search engine traffic will stop.

My second concern is about hosting. Hosting on blogger is free and I don't have to deal with the issue of hosting crashing when your page is dugg and other similar issues. My main question is how much should I pay for hosting per month for a site that averages about 200 unique visits a day?

Last, I was wondering how customizable the wordpress templates are. I have been looking through the thousands of wordpress templates and there are some designs I really like. Would it be difficult to modify these designs to add features, such as a 3rd column, or advertisements?

Thanks for the help, and if you have any other suggestions please share.

I have heard the plug in works very well. My main concern is not losing search engine traffic to internal urls. I want to know how I can make the internal urls the same on wordpress as blogger.

Well, i havent transferred any files or posts from blogger to wordpress but in wordpress i have seen some features that can get your older assests from other resources.

From experience wordpress is a great selection than blogger. Using plugins is also much cool here in wordpress. You can use the widgets too.
