Moving everything to new hosting

    hey i bought new hosting and i now want to move all my info on my site to it...how do i do this?

    If you have cPanel at both end, you can request your host to transfer the account. cPanel transfer will copy all the data including emails and database. cPanel also supports transferring domain from other control panels too.

    And the other option is to download the contents via FTP and take database backup at your end and then restore it on new host server.

    If you contact the web host I would actually expect them to do it for you, I know we would do it free.

    though your webhost company offers free transfer of all files and databases you should back all your files and databases up for you never know what tomorrow may bring.

    hey i moved all my files to the new host and backed up my database, however im having some problems. when i try to upload the database to my new host using backup wizard on cPanel X it doesnt work. I click upload and it takes me to this page

    and doesnt go past it...the database also never arrives...Does anyone know how to fix this without asking my hosting?

    You can also restore your MySQL database from PHPMyAdmin if the size of the database is not large. Just create a database and then go to PhpMyAdmin. Select the database and then Import it.
