Moving domain name from Netfirms to Godaddy

    Hi i have a domain name at netfirms account and im having godaddy acocunt. Now i have to move my domain from netfirms to godaddy without any charge? Its not transferring its just moving from one account to another account . is it possible? if so plz guide me..

    Without any charges is not possible. Check with godaddy if u are a customer and get some discount from them

    Through your current registrar release the domain and you will get a EPP code. If you can not do this through there panel contact them.
    Then you can initiate the transfer with your new registrar. Thats when you will have to pay for new registration of the domain.

    Always a charge is involved for a transfer. The fee is depend on both registrars. Some times it costs as you register a new domain.

    I don't think the holding registrar can charge to release the domain, but i might be wrong. I forgot to mention registrars also have certain restrictions on when you can transfer domains for example no transferring of the domain within 45 of registration renewal. but the terms will vary from each registrar.
