    Hey folks,

I have blog of 300-400 pages, now i don't want it to be a blog and i want to make it as a website..., so i am thinking of moving the blog to a website..

here i would like to know what are the positive & negative things to remember while moving?

Is it a good practice move blog to website? if not what is the alternate one?

    Thanks in advance..

First can you explain a little bit more about what you are trying to achieve:1. Why don't you want the blog to be a blog any more?2. Why do you want it to become a website - presumably static content?3. Things to remember while moving? Depends on what you are moving it from and to.4. Good practice? Depends what you are trying to achieve5. Alternatives? Again depends on what you are trying to achieve.More information will enable a more thorough response.

thank u for making me to elaborate it more..
    1. Why don't you want the blog to be a blog any more? - The Template which i'm using is not fine & there is effect in rankings.., it has some errors so i like to move it to a website.
    2. Why do you want it to become a website - presumably static content? its a static content, but now a days blogs are not ranking for top notch keywords which i want to target, that is why i'm more interested in making a website.
    3. Things to remember while moving? a blog to website
    4. Good practice? Depends what you are trying to achieve? Rankings in SE - not immediately may it takes time
    5. Alaternatives? In the sense, stay with the blog & re-design it

hope this clarifies the question.. let me know, still it is not convenicing..

    thanks..

Use 301 redirect code for moving blog to new website keeping same ranking and page rank.
