    Hi,

I am about to launch a redesigned well ranked site which is now done in .net

I am worried about losing ranking in over 30 keywords that come in top10.

Could some one suggest a plan of actions?

    Thanks

Here are 2 ways i came up with:

    Approach 1:

    1. Create a new site on subdomain: store.abc.com
    2. Leave original landing, ranked pages in html and point the links in them to new product pages on the subdomain.

Only thing that i dont like about this approach is that in future:
    a) how will i ever get the NEW starting page - default.aspx ranked ?
    b) I will always have to maintain the old html pages

    Approach 2:
    1. Leave original landing, ranked pages in html and point the links in them to new product pages.
    2. Create a new site on the default domain.
    3. Keep the starting page as old index.html
If someone clicks on a link on it, it will take them to the new look and feel on .net site.

use 301 to redirect to the new pages and you will not lose the rank, i tried it and it worked for me...good luck
