Moving A Blog

Ok so some nasty trademark lawyers are making me change my blog address and due to some unfortunate circumstances I'm unable to redirect the old blog to the new one in any way other than replacing both sidebars with links to the new blog.

    So I was wondering:

Should I leave the content on the old blog and just have the sidebar links?

    And

Should I disallow Google from indexing the old blog so it counts the new blog as unique content?

Export your MySQL database (if it's a wordpress blog) and take your layouts. Then import you datebase, upload your layouts, and enable your layouts. Just change around the site address and your blog will fix itself. You'd just have to re-do all the advertising :D

I suggest you move your blog and delete the old blog. Legal Issues and Webmasters don't mix.
