    This season is always known for good movies coming out.

    What movies are you looking forward to seeing?

    Steven King's movie Mist sounds good. So does American Gangster.

    * Bee Movie
    * Martian Child
    * Fred Claus
    * Lions for Lambs
    * P2
    * Beowulf
    * Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium
    *Stephen King's The Mist
    * The Ten Commandments
    *This Christmas
    *Welcome Home Roscoe Jenkins
    *Pete Seeger: The Power of Song
    *Things We Lost in the Fire
    *Darfur Now
    *Gone Baby Gone
    *The Perfect Holiday
    *Christmas in Wonderland
    *The Comebacks
    *No Country for Old Men
    *Enchanted
    *The Eye
    * Charlie Wilson's War
    * 30 Days of Night

    You listed a lot of those twice. My area stinks for movies. The local cineplex will show crap like "Wild Hogs" on 2 screens and sell out both. "Fred Claus" is the type of movie that will probably sell out this holiday season. Meanwhile, I really want to see "The Darjeeling Limited" and several other limited release movies that will never come within 100 miles of here. I guess I'll be waiting for the DVD.

    There are so many good movies set to come out soon, but right now is really a bad time for the movie industry. Here in the states HighSchool football takes away all of the Friday night crown, and the current pictures in theaters arent that great.

    I expect this coming week to really be the turnaround with Saw IV and then Fred Clause has also looked promising. Steven Spielburg's Bee Movie looks promising, but I really doubt that it will set any box office records. P2 and Beowulf also look like they will turn out well, but only time can tell.

    I expect that things will really pick up come the begining of the year, with John Rambo, Wall-E, Indiana Jones, The Dark Night, and many others.

    Oh, thanks. I removed the duplicates. :)

    That's a good point about highschool kids being busy on Fridays. I know that they're the biggest movie market.

    I'm both looking forward to seeing The Golden Compass and are worried about it. The book (The Northern Lights) was awesome, but it sounds like they've changed things a bit too much in the film.. Changed the ending, and removed all examples of atheism from the story, to make it less offensive to viewers.. Hmm, we'll see how it turns out

    Haha, yeah. A lot of patrons don't realize this but I am manager at a cinema and see this first hand. Another factor is at the end of summer people like to get out and enjoy what is left. Once we start seeing bad weather, and families start coming in for the holidays things pick up. This is why good movies are always released around this time. ;)

    I wish to see 30 days of night, or perhaps American Gangster. I will flip a coin...30 days rules out.
