Tae Guk Gi: The Brotherhood of War is another good one. It's gotten really good reviews as well. It is korean though.

band of brothers, the pacific(both miniseries), patton, apocolypse now, platoon, full metal jacket, the dirty dozen, hamburger hill, memphis belle, the hurt locker, we were soldiers, tusgegee airmen, enemy at the gates, glory(civil war), the patriot(revolutionary war), braveheart(medieval war), oh and while not a war movie per se, Forrest Gump has some of the best war scenes.
