Movie Trailers to play on the web?

Discussion in 'HTML & Website Design' started by Shazz, Mar 11, 2008.

Have a few movie trailers that I have imported through dreamweaver. I have tried everytype of format such as .avi .swf .mov .wmv .rm .mpg

None of them work and on some of them I get white boxes or just loads forever.

I uploaded the 2 min. Trailers through FTP - same folder as the web page files

    Any help is appreciated [IMG].

OK, so is the upload working.
After you have uploaded the file can you access the movie, for example if you go to www.yoursite.com/trailer.avi.. will the movie then load if you access it directly?
If not what happens when you try to access the movie directly.
If the movie loads like this then your probably using the wrong code to embed the movie.

So try and access it directly because dreamweaver could be giving wrong code.

Just updated my first post, I tried that to earlier forgot to add it
Yes, Its available when visiting the URL it will allow you to open it or download it.

The embed code I think works since the movies will play when its in the same folder on my desktop.
Not sure what Im missing :|
I may have to pay to have this done

Can I see what you are trying so far?

You should be able to embed the clips easily enough. I can find the correct code for you if you like.

Hey, so when it says Open or Save when you visit the URL if you click OPEN and the video buffers and then plays that means that the embed code may still be wrong if you post a URL it could help
