Moves from polur.net to media temple? Advice?

Hi I currently have a reseller account with polur.net but I don't have any individual accounts on there I just upload all my sites and manage them all myself under different add on domains.

Anyway... It is running out of space and my next step up is the "MAXPaw RS-575" at $23 per month.

I have seen media temple and heard good things, polur.net has not always been the most reliable of hosts and can be pretty slow to connect at times.

Can anyone recommend me the equivalent of this polur package but with MT. Would I need their virtual server packages or grid hosting services?

I do get kinda lost when it comes to hosting technologies, so appreciate any advice.

Their packages are VERY small for the price. Just because you're running out of space doesn't necessarily mean that you're ready to move up to a VPS. A larger reseller account should suit you just fine, assuming it's just the disk space you are running out of.

 

Yes it is just disc space however looks like MT offer a lot more space for the same money.

 

I didn't see any reseller plans over at MT, just grid and VPS basically. You also have to remember that neither of those come with cPanel. The VPS does come with Plesk I believe, which is a control panel, but if you are used to using cPanel, it's something you're going to have to pay extra for. Most providers can offer it fairly cheap on virtual servers. You'll have to ask them what the price is.

 

Thanks for thinking of us. The best service to fit the needs of a reseller would be our VPS. Even though the (dv) would be the best option, you can definitely do it on our shared plan as well, but you run into a few more obstacles with management when trying to do that. @WSWD brings up a good point in the fact that we do not support cPanel. Even though you can try adding it to your service, it's a complete custom job that we would not support.

Media Temple in no doubt a very reputed and good company. Other places you can look at are Eleven2.

 

Dudes, how about their support? after sales services? phone call? livechats? the same money but can you guarantee the same quality or better quality that will be deliver?
