    hello everyone,
im now debating aftre the move to my VPS was very smooth, but im still debating weather or not it would be worth still paying for my shared hosting,
you know just in case the VPS gets shutdown or anything.
its cheap and im wiling to?
or is this just a waste of time?

    thanks

If you have some revenue from your site and have something which is very much loaded and uses much resources, go for VPS, if not stay on shared. In VPS you have the ability to distribute things according to you. So its just something you can freely do. You probably need to have some security concerns if you go on VPS. Thats the only thing i think you have to worry about.

Cheap hosting is nice to have setup for redundancy. I always have 2 or even 3 accounts I can use in case of emergency. Also spreading your sites around is good for SEO. If you have just one site though...it's probably not worth holding onto the shared hosting account.

Its of no use if you have a dedicated server, only thing is you can use it for backup purpose
