    Hi,

Around 3 months ago we moved our vB forum from http://www*somedomain.com/forum/ to http://forum*somedomain.com.

We put a perm 301 re-direct in IIS so anyone viewing
http://www*somedomain.com/forum/showthread.php?t=5169 will ve moved here http://forumsomedomain.com/forum/showthread.php?t=5169.

Google is till showing all the old URL's and it has only indexed around 20% of the new ones and has put them all down as "supplemental"!!

Is there a way to get Google to update its index with only the new results? I though a perm 301 re-direct and over 3 months would be enough! Its a PR6 site that has over 2000 backlinks (inc 2 subpage organic PR9s) and we get crawled nearly every day.

    Any help appreciated? :)

    Thanks

just give some time. google needs time to drop off old pages indexed. they are maintaining index of billions of pages, dont forget that...!

Google holds on to old pages for a long time. The new sub-domain need to 'age' before google will take it seriously.
