    I use Photoshop and a mouse for designing websites. Do most people just stick with a mouse for this type of work or a tablet?

    Mouse for website design because of straight lines. Tablets are best for illustrations I find..

    I do everything with a tablet. Love the feel - works more precise for me. Also, when I work a lot, with a mouse I used to get a slight carpal tunnel syndrome. With a tablet this doesn't happen.

    Tablet= Photoshop/painter/ other mic. raster(bitmapped) programs

    Mouse= Illustrator/fireworks/ other mic. vector(object-oriented) programs

    Thats my opinion.

    I have a tablet, but I do all the webdesign / logos / banners stuff with my mouse. I use my tablet for sketching / drawing.

    I just bought a tablet, but I use it rarely, mouse is still my main tool and sometimes I still illustrate with mouse...still need sometimes to get used to using a tablet

    First off, a tablet will not replace your mouse but it will provide you with a lot more control with brushwork and airbrush and provides far more fluid movement and options than a mouse. The mouse wins over for creating very accurate line work especially for illustrator work but there's no way I'd be without my tablet. In a professional environment you really should have one and it neednt be very large, A5 is quite adequate.

    i guess it's really a different function... for me i can do more designs through mouse... but if it's a drawing, sketch or something... go for the tablet... ;)
